🗓️ Cancellation Policy

• Cancel 10 days prior to rental to receive a full refund.
• Cancellations within 10 days of pickup = no refund.

🌧️ Weather Policy

• No refunds for bad weather or change of plans.
• Silver Tree Marine may cancel rentals for safety concerns.

🛟 Safety & Occupancy

• You must disclose total number of passengers, especially children under 14, for proper life vest allocation.
• Follow all safety rules. Children under 13 must wear life jackets while the boat is moving.

🚤 Boat Operation Rules

• Boats must be docked before sunset (no lights provided).
• Operator must be 21+ and either born before July 1, 1972 or have a valid MD Boating Certificate.
• We do accept out-of-state boaters licenses that are Coast Guard approved.
• No drugs, alcohol, or reckless use.
• If you do not have a boater’s license, Silver Tree Marine can issue a 10-day temporary license while you are renting the boat. (Temporary licenses are only given once per lifetime, you are then required to obtain an MD Boating Certificate)

⛽ Fuel Policy

• Boats come with full tanks. Refuel only at Silver Tree Marine.
• Fuel costs are the RENTER’S responsibility.
• Fuel tanks can range from 30-gallons to 60-gallon tanks depending on Horsepower.

🔧 Damage Responsibility

• You are responsible for any damage to the boat, including propeller, motor, or upholstery.
• Propeller damage is common and often not felt immediately, return the boat or call Silver Tree Marine if you suspect any.
• Continued use after impact can increase costs.

🛡️ Damage Waiver (Optional - $300)

• Covers minor wear & tear, dock lines, small gelcoat chips, and propeller (but not engine or serious hull damage).
• Does not cover negligence, intoxication, or major component damage.

🌊 Towing Rules

• Must tow safely and legally.
• Always have a driver (21+) and observer (12+) on board during tow activities.
• All participants must wear Type III life vests.
• Towing of other vessels is strictly PROHIBITED!

🐾 Pet & Cleaning Policy

• Pets allowed. A $100 cleaning fee may apply for excessive fur or debris. Renter is responsible for any damage to boat or upholstery due to a pet.

📻 Radios & Anchors

• Radios are not guaranteed to work.
• Anchors are not provided and may damage the boat if used.

⚠️ Breakdowns & Repairs

• Stop immediately and call Silver Tree Marine if any issues occur.
• Do not authorize repairs yourself. Repairs can only be made by Silver Tree Marine.
• No refunds for standard breakdowns; repair time is factored into rental time.

🕒 Late Fee Policy

• A $50 fee per 30 minutes applies for late returns.

🌊 Lake Regulations

• No alcohol/drugs while operating.
• Stay 100 ft from bridges, docks, boats, and swimmers.
• Obey buoy signs and wake zones.
• Don’t beach the boat.

⚖️ Liability & Legal

• You are fully responsible for your actions and safety.
• Legal disputes will be handled in Garrett County, MD.

After booking you will receive a more detailed Rental Agreement & Release of Liability Contract
